It was an exciting first hour to kick off the 2022 North Texas dove season today with multiple guys getting their limit and many more with the opportunity to do the same.
If you’re coming out, bring some shells!
After days of rain, the fog was thick and the birds were flying slow and low.
We have another front coming in today, pushing even more birds down for the weekend.
Unfortunately, there are still not a lot of local Texas doves, but at least we’re attracting some tourists. I’m expecting this to keep up throughout the season. I’ll keep ya posted.
I wish I had more spots for everyone who wanted to come out this weekend to kick off this incredible season. It being my first year solo without my dad, I felt the need to limit spaces the first week so as to not disappoint.
Pops would have been happy to see all the action today after such a sorry turnout the past couple of years. It was fun!
I just opened 10 more spots for Sunday for those who are interested: https://texasdove.com/book-hunt
